Lambert, Mary Ethel

The funeral was held for the late Mary Ethel Lambert aged 98 years formerly of Shipbrook Road Rudheath who died on 4th July 2006 at Crossways Residential Home. Ethel was born in Fenton Stoke-on-Trent before moving to Hartford at an early age. She worked as a bookkeeper at Woolworths in Northwich and at Cottons Hotel in Knutsford and later as manageress at West Wool Shop in Northwich before marrying the late Herbert and moving to Rudheath. Ethel had many hobbies including crocheting knitting sewing spinning and weaving and playing the piano. Ethel was a member of Rudheath W.I. and The Old Folks Club. She leaves two daughters Pat and Sylvia son-in-law Colin grandsons Paul and Mark and three great grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Lostock Gralam Parish Church conducted by Rev'd Barbara Sharp prior to interment at Rudheath Cemetery. Family floral tributes were received as well as donations for Crossways Residents' Comfort Fund. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service Northwich.
