The funeral was held on 2nd August for the late Marjorie McKee of Northwich who died on 20th July 2006 aged 78 years. Marjorie was born and brought up in Manchester where she attended the Church and School of St James at Birch in Rusholme. After leaving school she worked in offices in Manchester until she joined the Wrens for four years before returning to secretarial work. Then Marjorie decided to start up her own business in retail and opened a shop. During the following years she moved with her family to Stockport. After the deaths of all her family she retired from work and came to live in Northwich where she made many new friends. Marjorie attended St Helen's Parish Church and took up charity work to help others; she was well respected and loved by everyone who knew her. Many of Marjorie's friends joined her cousins and representatives from Weaver Court and the Wren Association of Friends for the service at St Helen's Parish Church Northwich which was followed by interment at Northwich Cemetery and was conducted by the Rt Rev John Gaisford. In addition to family floral tributes donations were received for the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
