Purslow, Donald Bryan
The funeral was held on 30th August for the late Donald Bryan Purslow of Davenham who died on 18th August 2006 aged 74 years. Donald known as Bryan was born in Crewe the elder of two sons to the late Don and Doris Purslow. He grew up in Winnington and attended Park Street Infants School then Darwin Street School Castle and later Sir John Deane's Grammar School. Bryan completed his National Service in the RAF. He married his wife Audrey on 10th September 1955 at Davenham Church. They settled at Witton Park before moving to Davenham. Bryan worked as Personnel Officer for the Engineering Group at I.C.I. Winnington and Runcorn. Bryan acted as property steward at Davenham Methodist Church he enjoyed all types of music steam trains supported Winnington RUFC liked both indoor and outdoor bowls and was a reader for Vale Royal Talking Newspaper. He is survived by his wife Audrey sons Ian and Neil and his brother Peter. The service at Davenham Methodist Church conducted by Rev Dr Graham Patrick was followed by committal at Walton Lea Crematorium. As well as family floral tributes donations were received for Davenham Methodist Church and Vale Royal Talking Newspaper.
