Abrams, Walter Percy
The funeral was held on 2nd November 2006 for the late Walter Percy Abrams of Rudheath who died on 18th October 2006 aged 89 years. Walter was born in Northwich and had a brother and a sister. He was brought up in Northwich where he attended school. He married his wife Alice and they settled in West Avenue Rudheath before moving to East Avenue. Sadly he was widowed in 1999. During the war Walter was in the Tank Regiment before being taken as a prisoner of war. Later he worked at I.C.I. as a pipe fitter. He enjoyed watching sport and being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son Terry daughter Pauline grandchildren and great grandchildren and his brother Syd. The service at Shurlach Methodist Church conducted by Revd David Goodwin was followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium. In addition to family floral tributes donations were received for Leukaemia Research Fund.
