The funeral was held on 21st December for the late Mary Bell of Leftwich and formerly Rudheath who died on 15th December 2006 aged 97 years. Mary was born in Pennys Lane Rudheath to the late Mr & Mrs R Stanley she had six brothers and one sister. She grew up in the Northwich area and attended the School House Rudheath. On 7th August 1939 she married Fred Bell at St Helen's Parish Church Northwich living with her sister in East Avenue Rudheath. They then moved to Lostock Hartford and Rudheath she was widowed in 1983. Before her family was born Mary worked for a short time at Byley Munitions Factory then she took care of her family. Later she became caretaker for Northwich Rural District Council at Whitehall Hartford. Mary was a keen W.I. member and she enjoyed looking after her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Christine son Christopher and grandchildren Emma Richard Adam and David. The service at St Wilfrid's Parish Church Davenham was conducted by Rev'd Martin Cripps and was followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium. As well as family floral tributes donations were received for Leftwich Green Community Care Centre.
