Funeral report for the late Dennis Gage The funeral was held on 18th April 2008 for the late Dennis Gage, who died 5th April aged 70 years. Dennis was born in Scarborough to George & Rachel Gage, the 3rd oldest of six children having five brothers George, the late Kenny, Keith, Raymond & Michael. He was brought up in Filey, Yorkshire and attended the local school there. In 1957 Dennis, with his parents and brothers, came to live in Weaverham as his dad, George obtained a position with ICI at Winnington. He married Elaine Davies in 1963 and they settled in Castle. They had three children Andrew, Susan & Jonathan. He worked as a farm labourer in Yorkshire and Cheshire and at Butlins in Filey. Later he was employed by Cheshire County Council as a labourer until retiring early on medical grounds. His interests included his family, bingo and having a gamble on the horses and dogs. Dennis is survived by his children Andrew, Susan & Jonathan, grandchildren Danielle, Thomas, Ross, Roy & Rebecca, great grandchild Kyle and his brothers George, Keith, Raymond & Michael. The funeral service held at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich, followed by interment at Northwich Cemetery, was conducted by Revíd Malcolm Cowan.
