Funeral report for the late Jack Walker The funeral has taken place of Jack Walker who died at Leighton Hospital on 18th April 2008 aged 82 years. Jack was born in Winsford but moved to Little Leigh soon after. He attended school in Weaverham before moving to Rudheath and attending Rudheath High School. He worked on the railway in Northwich for many years before becoming a baker at Riley’s in London Road until they closed down. Jack had a bread round for a while, but finished his working life as a master tiler at the age of seventy three years. On retirement he enjoyed holidays abroad, caravanning and gardening. Jack leaves his wife Madge, three sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The funeral service held at St Helen’s Parish Church, Witton, conducted by Rev’d Malcolm Cowan was followed by interment at Northwich Cemetery. Family flowers were received and donations for The Stroke Association. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
