Funeral report for the late Beryl Joan Finnigan The funeral has taken place on 2nd May 2008, for the late Beryl Finnigan née Moore, who died 24th April aged 77 years. Beryl was born in Northwich to the late Bert & Gladys Moore, the eldest of four children having two brothers Les & Harold and a sister June. She was brought up in Rudheath where she also attended school. She married Eric Finnigan on 30th March 1957 and they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last year. They lived in West Avenue, Rudheath, then School Road, Rudheath before finally settling in Riverside Park, Castle. At the age of fourteen Beryl worked at Halls Stationery in Northwich before moving to the Silk Works in Middlewich. She later worked for Broadhurst Bakery and sold Broadhurst cakes, pies and biscuits in the Northwich Indoor Market for 42 years. Her interests included knitting, reading, gardening and baking. Beryl is survived by her husband Eric, son Graham and her grandchildren. The funeral service held at St Helen’s Parish Church, Witton, conducted by Rev’d Malcolm Cowan, was followed by committal at Crewe Crematorium. Family flowers were received and donations for Christie Hospital. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
