Funeral report for the late Robert Eric Kenworthy The funeral was held on 1st July 2008 for the late Robert Eric Kenworthy who died 24th June aged 81 years. Eric was born in Liverpool (where Anfield football ground now stands) to Eric & Mary Kenworthy, the youngest child of three having two elder sisters. He was brought up in various areas of Liverpool but lived for many years in Strawberry Road. He married Brenda Shaw in June 1954 at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich, settling in Comberbach where they remained. During the war Bert joined the British Army, serving in India. He worked at the Waterworks where he met Brenda, then Warrington Tube Company, after which he became a chauffeur at Appleton Air Base before moving to the Royal Mail where he worked for many years. His interests where football, being a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club and his family. Eric is survived by his wife Brenda. The funeral service held at Comberbach Methodist Church, conducted by Revíd Andrew Pratt was followed by interment in Great Budworth Churchyard. Family flowers were received and donations for Christie Hospital. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
