Funeral Report for the late Emily Mary Coulburn Northwich & Knutsford Guardian The funeral was held on 19th March 2009 for the late Emily Mary Coulburn née Hankey, who died 9th March aged 93 years. Emily was born in Pickmere to Ethel & Bill Hankey, one of two children having a sister the late Elsie. She was brought up in Pickmere and attended school in Great Budworth. She married George Edward Coulburn in 1936, at Great Budworth Parish Church. They settled at first in Spink Lane, Pickmere, later moving to Water Hill Cottage, Pickmere then The Post Office, Pickmere. Sadly Emily was widowed in 1996. She worked at The Salt Works in Wincham later becoming a Post Mistress. Her interests included rug making, reading, music and listening to football, especially Manchester United. In the early years she was also a member of the W.I. Emily is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Georgina & Len, grandchildren Susan, David, Lesley & Andrew and great grandchildren Lisa & Sarah. The funeral service held at Pickmere Methodist Church, conducted by Rev Hilary Howarth, was followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium. Flowers and donations for Pickmere Methodist Church were received. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
