Funeral report for the late Margaret Annie (Peggy) Hilton The funeral was held on Thursday 24th July 2008 for the late Margaret Annie (Peggy) Hilton née Yeomans, who died 14th July aged 93 years. Peggy was born in Wath Upon Dearne, South Yorkshire, the only child of Moses Herbert & Annie Yoemans. She was brought up in Wath Upon Dearne then Scotter, Lincolnshire, and attended Brigg High School For Girls. She married Robert Anthony Hilton (Tony) in 1943 at St James’ Piccadilly, London. They lived in various parts of the country including Kenyon, Warrington and Urmston, Manchester settling in High Legh in 1962. Sadly Peggy was widowed in 1973. She worked as a nurse and midwife at Guys Hospital, London. Peggy enjoyed embroidery, attended church regularly and was a member of the choir, W.I. and The Mothers Union. Peggy is survived by her cousins Eric Taylor & Sarah Taylor. The funeral service held at High Legh Parish Church, conducted by Rev’d Michael Cavanagh, was followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium. Family flowers were received and donations for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
