Funeral report for the late Jean Langston The funeral was held on 20th April 2009, for the late Jean Mary Langston nťe Stringer, who died 8th April aged 76 years. Jean was born in Rudheath to Fred & Louisa Stringer, the eldest of two children having a younger brother Derek. She was brought up in Rudheath and attended Rudheath Primary School and Rudheath Secondary Modern. She married Harry Langston on 19th March 1955 at St Helenís Church, Northwich, settling at first in Malam Drive, Rudheath before moving to St Johnís Close, Rudheath where they remained for 50 years. She worked at Lomas and Spencer Sewing Factory and also worked as a barmaid and a shop assistant. Her interests included dancing; being a founder member of the Breakaway Dance Club, keep fit and the Young Wives. Jean is survived by her husband Harry, daughter & son-in-law Julie & Mike and grandson Jake. The funeral service held at St Helenís Church, conducted by Rev Barry Jobber, was followed by interment at Rudheath Cemetery. Family flowers and donations for St Lukeís (Cheshire) Hospice were received. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
