Funeral Report for the late Deborah Estcourt The funeral has taken place of Deborah Estcourt aged 36, the only daughter of Frank and Wendy Estcourt. Born in Oxford, the family shortly moved to Northwich where she attended Church Walk Primary, Hartford High School and Sir John Deane’s College. She obtained an Art/English degree at the University of Ripon and York St John, then moved to London where she worked as a designer for theatre productions for several years. Deborah obtained an MA in Scenography in 1997 studying in Utrecht – Holland and Prague. She returned to London continuing her theatre work and also worked out of Norfolk as a scenic artist with commissions in Norway, Lapland and Germany. For a year Deborah worked as a visual merchandiser for British Home Stores in Oxford Street, London before taking a 3 month career break to visit Thailand, returning just days before the Tsunami. For the last two years she has been a Senior Visual Merchandiser for Fat Face, a high street store, and based at head office in Portsmouth. Her responsibilities included the design and installation for all UK store displays and producing manuals explaining design principles for sales staff training. In addition to her enjoyment of travel, Deborah loved the galleries, exhibitions, street theatre and hub-bub of London. She had many talents including piano, cello, a qualified Advanced Open Water Diver, Tai Chi and was an active member of the Vegan Society and Tate Gallery in London. Deborah will be much missed by her parents, younger brothers Howard and Martin and sister in law Sarah Jane. Many friends joined the family for the service lead by Rev’d George Agar held at St John’s Church, Hartford followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium. Messages of sympathy were received for friends and professional colleagues around the world. Donations were received for St Luke’s Complimentary Therapy Unit and the Willow Foundation.
