Holland, Mary Elizbaeth

Funeral report for the late Mary Elizabeth Holland Northwich Guardian The funeral was held on 25th September 2009, for the late Mary Elizabeth Holland née Curzon, who died 17th September aged 77 years. Mary was born in Middlewich to the late Mini & Walter Curzon, the second child of four having an older sister the late Freda, a younger brother the late Cyril & younger sister Margaret. She was brought up in Winsford where she also attended school. She married John Holland on 30th October 1954 at St John’s Church, Winsford, settling at first in Thelwall, Warrington before moving to Weaverham where they remained. She worked at a Silk Works in Middlewich then later for RHM Foods for thirteen years. She enjoyed flower arranging, flower tubs and loved to watch ice-skating and dancing. Mary is survived by her husband John, son Terence, daughter & son-in-law Denise & Steve, seven grandchildren and a great grandson. The funeral service held at St Mary’s Church, Weaverham, conducted by Rev Andrew Brown, was followed by interment at Gorstage Cemetery. Family flowers and donations for the National Association for Colitis & Crohn’s Disease were received. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
