Funeral report for the late Cyril Gibson Northwich Guardian The funeral was held on 17th December 2009, for the late Cyril Gibson who died 9th December aged 80 years. Cyril was born in London Road, Castle to Ebeneezer & Polly Gibson, the youngest of eight children having four sisters and three brothers. He was brought up in Northwich and attended Danebridge School. He married Vera on 5th August 1970 at Northwich Registry Office, settling at first in Greenbank before moving to Castle where they remained. He worked as a Moulder at Lynotype Machine, Altrincham then later on he worked at Broadhurst. His interests included dominoes, horse racing, fishing and especially spending time with his family. Cyril is survived by his wife Vera, children Jean, Stephen, Jim, Peter, Dennis, Dave, Dianne & Dolly, seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and sister Rose. The funeral service held at Castle Methodist Church, conducted by Rev Hilary Howarth, was followed by interment in Northwich Cemetery. Family flowers and donations for Cancer Research UK were received. Arrangements were by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
