The funeral has taken place of Denise Joy Pemberton of Hartford, who died suddenly at Leighton Hospital on the 4th March 2010, aged 60 years. Denise, daughter of Ken and Joy Allman was born in Bowden and lived in Hartford all her life. She was educated in Hartford going on to be employed by I.C.I. at Brunner house. She married Ian in 1972 at St John the Baptist Church, Hartford. She had many hobbies and interests, a keen tap dancer, she enjoyed time outdoors and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed weekends away, day trips; Llandudno in particular and holidays home and abroad. Menorca was a favourite holiday retreat, with many friends made over the years of who remain today. She was a full time carer to her mum Joy over many years. She was a caring neighbour and most of all a good friend often helping out in any way she could. Over the years she was involved in many charities both local and national, providing help and support for Hartford Manor School and Hartford Scout Group amongst others. Never one to shy away from a party, she was well known for her loving hospitality, socialising and entertaining came naturally. Universally loved by all who knew her, she was a unique and truly good person, the most loving wife and mum. Denise is survived by husband Ian and loving boys Tom & William. The service held at St John the Baptist Church, Hartford was conducted by Rev George Crowder. Family flowers and donations for the Stoke Association and the Red Cross were received.
