The funeral was held recently for Derek Corker of Greenbank, who died on 14th September 2010, aged 56 years. Derek was born in Davenham to parents Joan and Fred Corker, he had one brother and two sisters. (later Joan remarried and became Joan May) He was brought up in Rudheath where he attended school. Derek and Karen were married at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich on July 26th 1976. They settled in Edward Street, Northwich, later moving to Greenbank. Derek worked at British Rail in Crewe, he was a driver for Harris, he had also worked at Currys before joining Jiffy Packaging where he worked for 28 years. His interests included gardening and DIY, he kept cold water fish in his pond, was a keen Crown Green bowler and member of Hartford Bowls Club. He leaves his wife Karen, daughters Emma & Lisa and granddaughter Sami-Jo. The service was held at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich followed by committal at Crewe Crematorium. Revd Rowland Crook conducted the service. Family floral tributes and donations for Diabetes UK were received. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
