The funeral was held recently (23rd September) for the late Mary Elizabeth Johnson of Antrobus, who died on 15th September 2010, aged 80 years. Mary was born in Lymm, she was the middle child of three, born to John & Elsie Platt, having an older sister and a younger brother. Mary was brought up in Great Budworth where she went to school, then later attended school in Rudheath. She met Harry Johnson and they were married on 1st July 1950, at St Mary and All Saints Church, Great Budworth. They settled in Antrobus, where they remained. Mary worked as a hairdresser in Stockton Heath. Her hobbies included baking and ballroom dancing and she was a member of the Friendship Club. Mary and Harry enjoyed spending many happy holidays together, especially in Scotland. Mary leaves her husband Harry. The service was held at Great Budworth Parish Church followed by interment in the churchyard, conducted by Revd Alec Brown. Floral tributes and donations for Motor Neurone Disease Association were received. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
