The funeral was held on 9th November for Jeffery Harrison of Knutsford who died on 1st November 2010 aged 88 years. Jeffery was born in Norton, a market town in Yorkshire in 1922, to parents Ivy & John Harrison. He spent some of his early childhood living in Greenock, Scotland. He is survived by his siblings Hilda, Jack, Nancy & Ann. Jeff was a driver during the Second World War and spent time in Singapore and Burma. Jeff moved to Knutsford approximately 50 years ago with his wife Hilda and four sons, soon afterwards they had a daughter. Jeff was widowed in March 1997. He worked for various companies including Dunlop and Northern Caravans and for a large part of his life worker as a cabinet maker and joiner. Jeff enjoyed gardening and walking and loved being outdoors. He will be sadly missed by his children Jeff, Ray, Keith, Paul and Lynn, his grandchildren Vicki, Hana, Jake, Nicola, Samantha, Daniel, Matthew, Olivia, Imogen & Phoebe. The funeral service and committal were held at Altrincham Crematorium, conducted by Revd Paul Mason. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for Help for Heroes.
