Ethel continued to work until her first child Ian was born in 1952, she returned to work until 1957, when her daughter Sandra was born. Ethel had a busy life working to support her family, as she was widowed in 1978. She had a good social life and met many good, close friends after becoming an active church member of The Farm of The Good Shepherd. Ethel became a Nan in 1979 when her first grandson Richard was born, followed by Matthew in 1983; both boys loved and adored her funny little ways. Ethel was loved by her sister Jeanís children Lorraine, Philip and Michael; both families will remember the laughter and memories Ethel has given them; she was much loved and will not be forgotten.
