Reynolds, Agnes Joyce
The funeral was held recently (26th November 2010) for Agnes Joyce Reynolds of Antrobus who died on 9th November 2010, aged 88 years. Agnes Joyce Nelson was born in Liverpool; she was the youngest of a family of three, born to Elizabeth and Frederic Nelson, having two brothers who pre-deceased her. She grew up in the area of Abercromby Square, Liverpool and attended school in St Annes, Edge Hill, Liverpool. She married James Anthony Reynolds in the summer of 1946 at Holy Cross Church, St Helens, Lancashire. They settled in Southport until 1953, then Formby until 1959; they then lived in Eastham until 1986, with a final move to Antrobus. Sadly Agnes was widowed in February 1985. Prior to her marriage Agnes worked for St Helen’s Police in the C I D department; from 1976 – 1983 she did clerical work at Corlett Park College. Agnes played bowls in Eastham, Wirral before she moved from the area. She enjoyed reading and was devoted to her family and many friends. Agnes leaves her son Stephen, daughter Mary, grandson James and granddaughter Danielle. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St Wilfrid’s RC Church, Northwich, followed by committal at Walton Lea Crematorium. Father James Farrell and Father Patrick Munroe were the celebrants.
