The funeral was held recently for the late Elinor May Chesterson of Leftwich who died on 7th May 2011, aged 72 years. Elinor was born on 2nd October 1938, she was the only child born to Gerald & Frances Chesterson. She grew up in Northwich and the Sandiway area and attended St John Deaneís Grammar School. Elinor was married to Ken Royle in June 1958, at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich. They settled in Greenall Road, moving to Manchester Road, Edward Street and latterly Gawsworth Close; they separated in 1981. Elinor worked at Samuel Huttons as a book-keeper, then at Prudential collecting insurance money, she moved to Tesco, then onto Ilfords, until she gave up work due to ill health. Elinor enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Christmas, family gatherings and family caravan holidays in Towyn; she liked to play prize bingo and visiting car boot sales. She is survived by her children Frances, Anthony, Linda, Alison; grandchildren Leigh, Jamie, Tracy, Andrew, Stacey, Samantha, Katrina & Olivia and great grandchildren Demi, Connor, Reece & Mia. The service was held at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich, conducted by Revd Barry Jobber, prior to committal at Walton Lea Crematorium. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for Christie Hospital.
