The funeral has taken place of Eva Eaton of Hartford, who died on 30th November 2011, aged 90 years. She was born at Gabriel Bank Farm, Crowton on 17th November 1921 and attended Norley Primary School up to the age of 11. At that time, with her parents Herbert and Sarah Rutter, sister Ida and brother John, she moved to Dairy House Farm, Marbury, from where she continued her education at Heysomes College, Greenbank. On leaving school, Eva helped with the running of the farm until she met and later married Albert Eaton in 1943. Soon after, they gained the tenancy of Thorn Farm, Hartford where they farmed until the farm was taken for the construction of the Mid-Cheshire College and schools campus. Eva and Albert then moved to Hollies Farm, Hartford where they farmed until semi-retiring in 1979, sadly Albert died in 2007. They had two children Gweneth and John, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Family floral tributes were received and donations for Cancer Research UK, Great Budworth Parish Church and the Smile Train. The service at Great Budworth Parish Church was conducted by Revd Alec Brown, prior to interment in the Churchyard. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Lostock Green, Northwich.
