The funeral was held recently (21st December) for John Buckley of Rudheath who died on 12th December 2011, aged 83 years. John was born in Northwich to John and Sarah Buckley, he was one of nine children, having two brothers and six sisters. He grew up in Northwich, where he attended Witton Boysí School. On 9th August 1948 he married Eva Kinsman at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich. They settled in Winnington before moving to Rudheath. He was widowed in 2000. John completed his National Service, he was employed by I.C.I. then went to work for Express Dairies, before moving to Roberts Bakery. John enjoyed watching football and was a fan of Witton Albion; he liked to collect models of classic cars and he loved bird watching, especially at Martin Mere in Lancashire. John leaves his children Allan, Peter, Elaine and Derek, grandchildren, great grandchildren and three sisters Millie, Margaret & Doreen. The service was held at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich, conducted by Revd Rowland Crook prior to interment a Rudheath Cemetery. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for St Lukeís (Cheshire) Hospice. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Lostock Green, Northwich.
