The funeral was held recently (30th December) for Eileen Norah Kyle of Sandiway who died on 15th December 2011, aged 88 years. Norah, as she was known, was born in Rufford, Nottinghamshire on 18th October 1923, to parents William & Kathleen Trueman, she was the eldest, having a younger sister. Norah was brought up in Lincolnshire and attended Grantham Girlsí High School. She married John Kyle at St Gilesí Parish Church, Lincoln on 14th August 1948. They settled in Wolverhampton before moving to Cheshire and living in Sandiway. Norah was an Air Raid Warden from 1939-1945. She was employed as an Industrial Radiographer. She loved being with her family and enjoyed cooking and dressmaking. She was also a volunteer hospital worker and liked to play Bridge. Norah leaves her husband John, son David, daughter Janet, son-in-law Howard and grandchildren Daniel, Russell and Richard. The service was held at St Johnís Church, Sandiway, conducted by Revd Rowland Crook and was followed by private committal.
