Floyd, Amanda Louise
The funeral has taken place of Amanda Louise Floyd, who died tragically on 7th December 2011 aged 34 years. A service was held on 15th December to celebrate her short but full life. Amanda was the eldest child of Bob and Gerry, and sister to Andrew. She was born in 1977 in Blackpool and moved to Northwich in 1982, initially to Leftwich and then to Hartford. Amanda attended Riddings Lane Primary School, Hartford High School and Mid-Cheshire College. Her career began in Nursery Education before she moved to Travel and more recently I.T. Support. Amanda was a talented Ceroc dancer. She loved the music, friends and costumes at dances in Cheshire and beyond. Amanda was a generous spirit and her kindness will be remembered by many. Amanda suffered poor health for all her adult life and was grateful for the specialist treatment at Hope and Wythenshawe Hospitals. She leaves mum, dad, brother Andrew, sister-in-law Victoria, nephew George, Grandma Wyn, Uncle Stephen, Auntie Gill, Uncle Howard, Auntie Pat and cousins Gary, Mark, Jordan, Jason and Daniel with fond memories of happy times. The service was held at St Wilfrid’s Parish Church, Davenham, conducted by Revd Martyn Cripps, prior to interment in the churchyard. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for Asthma UK and Lymphoma Research at The Christie. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Lostock Green, Northwich.
