The funeral was held recently (15th February) for Lilian Rustage of Northwich, who died on 4th February 2012, aged 93 years. Lilian was born in Manley, Frodsham on 25th January 1919, to William & Lucy Clarke. She was the youngest of a family of three girls and both her sisters pre-deceased her. Lilian grew up in Northwich and attended Victoria Road School. She married Walter Rustage in 1963 at Northwich Registry Office and they settled in Wincham. Sadly she was widowed in 1975 and eventually went to live in Queen Elizabeth House, Northwich. All her working life Lilian was employed by I.C.I. Lostock in the Cash Office. She was an active member of Pickmere Methodist Church for more than 40 years and was a voluntary worker for the W.R. V. S. for over 20 years. Lilian had a lifelong love of horse racing and latterly loved her twice-weekly visits to Age UK and lunch with her friends. The service was held at Pickmere Methodist Church followed by committal at Walton Lea Crematorium, conducted by Revd Hilary Howarth. Family floral tributes were received and donations for Pickmere Methodist Chapel. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Lostock Green, Northwich.
