The service was held recently (16th February) for Dennis Roughsedge of Antrobus who died on 6th February 2012, aged 86 years. Dennis was born in Northwich, he was the youngest child of Mary and Arthur Roughsedge, having three older sisters. He attended Wincham Primary then Rudheath School. On 22nd September 1945 he married Muriel Bethia Thompson at Great Budworth Parish Church and they settled at Budworth Heath before moving to Antrobus. During the Second World War, Dennis served for four years in the Royal Artillery, later he was employed by British Road Services as a heavy goods vehicle driver. His interests included D.I.Y. and gardening. Dennis is survived by his wife Muriel, daughters Pamela and Susan, sons-in-law Adrian and Andrew and grandchildren Suzanne, Andrew, Julian and Robyn. The service and committal at Walton Lea Crematorium were conducted by Rev Richard Diggle. Family flowers and donations for Leighton Hospital League of Friends were received.
