The funeral has taken place of Shirley Howman (née Lambert) of Northwich who died in Leighton Hospital on 26th April 2012, aged 72 years. Shirley was born in Northwich to Minnie and the late Harold Lambert and later moved to Leftwich. She attended Danebridge School and went on to work at I. T. P. in Queen Street, Northwich. In 1973 Shirley married Les and they settled in Frodsham, where she became a keen member of the Ladies’ Darts Team. They moved on to Weaverham and when Les passed away, Shirley returned to Northwich. She spent her last years happily living in her little flat in Naylor Court, in the company of her dog Charlie, whilst being entertained by Cliff Richard’s music and the soaps on T.V. She will be sadly missed by her mum Minnie, brothers Barry, Harold and Brian, sister Carol and their families and her good friend Sue. The service and cremation were held at Walton Lea Crematorium. The celebration of life service was taken by Steve Grant. Family floral tributes were received and donations for Cancer Research UK and Blue Cross.
