The funeral was held recently for Ann Royle of Northwich who died on 1st September 2012, aged 64 years. Ann was born in Manchester on 20th January 1948, to Ethel and Syd Abrams, she was a twin with her sister Jean. She attended Victoria Road Infants and Junior School, then later Rudheath High School. Ann loved music and went to tea dances with her Auntie Ellen at Northwich Memorial Hall, where she met her husband Sid in 1968. They got engaged and later married on 17th May 1969 at St Helen’s Church, Northwich, they had a double wedding with her twin sister Jean. Anthony, their son, was born on 2nd October 1970. Music was her life, she loved many bands, but especially T Rex (Marc Bolan), Queen (Freddie Mercury), Adam Ant, Mick Jagger and later Ville Valo from the group HIM. She spent hours listening and liked to imitate them and sing along to the music. For the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations in 1977, Ann and her mother Ethel dressed in red, white and blue for their street party and had such a good day their old friends still talk about it. Ann liked make up and became an agent for Avon for many years, becoming an expert on the many different products. Ann, Sid and Anthony all liked gardening, they would be at their allotments most evenings and weekends. They had allotments for 35 years, so there were always lots for vegetables being given out when visiting them. Ann is survived by her husband Sid, son Anthony, sister Jean and nieces Amanda & Michelle. The service was held at Shurlach Methodist Church, Rudheath followed by committal at Walton Lea Crematorium, conducted by Revd Duncan Ibuuri. Family floral tributes were received and donations for Macmillan Nurses at Leighton Hospital. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Lostock Green, Northwich.
