The funeral was held recently for the late Peggy Hocquard of Moulton, who died on 5th January 2013, aged 83 years. Peggy was born in Fazakerley, Liverpool on 11th January 1929 to Catherine & William Mallon. She was the fourth child of a family of five, having three sisters and a brother. She grew up in Fazakerley, where she attended school. On 1st April 1950, Peggy married Philip Hocquard, they lived in Fazakerley, moving to Weaverham, Lostock Gralam, Crewe, Northwich and finally to Moulton. Peggy was a former licensee of The Slow and Easy, Lostock Gralam; The Salter, Weaverham; The Merlin, Crewe and The Beehive in Northwich. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of The Coffee and Chat Club in Moulton. Peggy is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Joyce & Jim Tomkins, daughter-in-law Alison, grandchildren Katie, Jenny & Becky and great grandchild Hari. The service was held at St Wilfrid’s Parish Church, Davenham followed by interment in the churchyard, conducted by Revd Martyn Cripps. Family floral tributes were received and donations for Queenscourt Hospice.
