The funeral was held on 3rd June for the late Harry Allcock of Northwich who died on 27th May 2005 aged 90 years. Harry was born in Northwich to the late Harry and Sarah Allcock. He grew up in Northwich with his two sisters Annie and Hilda who both predeceased him. Harry attended Victoria Road School and later Manchester College of Technology. He married his wife Jean in 1966 at Davenham Methodist Church, they settled in Rudheath before moving to Davenham and latterly to Weaver Court, Northwich. Harry worked as an analytical chemist at I.C.I. Winnington for 42 years. This was a reserved occupation, but he was a member of the Home Guard during the war. Harry loved dancing in his younger days, he was a very keen gardener and enjoyed painting. He is survived by his wife Jean. The service at Davenham Methodist Church conducted by Rev Russell Rigby was followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium.
