The funeral was held on 2nd February for the late John Chester of Northwich who died on 20th January 2005 aged 65 years. John was born in Wincham; he was the middle child of a family of five children, of the late George and Clara Chester. He had two older sisters Ruth and Sue, a younger brother David and youngest sister Agnes. He was brought up in Wincham and Pickmere and attended Rudheath Secondary School. He married his wife Pauline on 31st March 1962 at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich. They settled in Sale, then moved to Chesterway, Northwich where they spent most of their married life, before moving to Leftwich 18 months ago. John worked as a process operator at I.C.I. Wallerscote Works. His interests included travelling abroad, fly-fishing, playing dominoes and he enjoyed a bet on the horses. He leaves his wife Pauline, daughters Tracey and Nikki, sons in law Mark & David and six grandchildren. The service at St Helenís Church was conducted by Rev Adam Friend and was followed by private committal at Altrincham Crematorium. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for the British Heart Foundation. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Greenacre Funeral Home, Northwich.
