The funeral was held on 9th March at Lostock Parish Church for the late Kathleen Gough who died on 1st March 2005 aged 82 years. Kathleen was born in Lostock Gralam to the late Harry and Harriet Whitby, she had five sisters who all pre-deceased her. Spending her childhood in Lostock, Kathleen attended Manchester Road and Victoria Road Schools. On May 4th 1946 Kathleen married George Gough at Lostock Parish Church, they settled in New Budworth before moving to Rudheath and finally to Hawarden, Flintshire. Kathleen worked in domestic service until 1942 she was then employed by I.C.I. Lostock until her marriage. From 1967 to 1972 she worked at Roberts’ Bakery, Rudheath. Kathleen devoted herself to caring for and raising her family, she also liked to help others and was a registered collector for The Children’s Home Society and a committee member of the Senior Citizens Club in Ewloe, Flintshire. Kathleen is survived by her husband George, two daughters, two sons and five grandchildren. In addition to family floral tributes donations were received for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The funeral service at Lostock Parish Church was followed by interment in the Churchyard, conducted by Rev Harry Stratton.
