Hartley, Dorothy Patricia (Dot)
The funeral was held on 28th January at Holy Trinity Church, Castle for the late Dorothy Patricia Hartley who died on 20th January 2005 aged 56 years. Dorothy, known as Dot, was born in Northwich to the late Sidney and Phyllis Baguley, she was the younger of their two daughters. Her sister Beryl pre deceased her. Dot was brought up in Northwich, where she attended Church Walk School and later Rudheath High School. She married John on 27th June 1972 at Northwich Registry Office. They settled in Germany where John was stationed with the Army, before moving to Leftwich. They then moved to Castle in 1978, living in Chester Road for 8 years until they settled at their present address 19 years ago. Dot worked as a bookkeeper and supervisor at Victor Value Supermarket in Northwich before it became Tesco. After leaving her job, Dot became a full-time housewife and mum. Her interests included gardening, reading, following Liverpool Football team and she devoted her time to bring up her twin granddaughters. Dot leaves her husband John, daughter Emma and granddaughters Natasha and Zara. The service at Castle Church, conducted by Rev Brian Peace, was followed by interment at Northwich Cemetery. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for the Tsunami Appeal. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Greenacre Funeral Home, Northwich.
