The funeral was held on 29th March for Margaret Mack who died on 18th March 2005 aged 89 years. Margaret was born in Newton, Scotland the middle child of a family of three to the late Martha and Robert Campbell. Margaret married James Mack in 1942 at Cambuslang, Lanarkshire and they settled first in Scotland. In 1953, they moved to Northern Ireland for three years, then Cardiff and Kent while her husband worked for Remington Rand. Then they lived in London, Bristol and Offenham, Evesham. On his retirement in 1984 they settled in Wincham. Margaret was renowned for her baking, marmalade and soup making and was a member of the W.I. and Bright Hour at chapel and became involved with the community centre. Being a very sociable person she soon became very much part of the local community. She loved reading and had especially visited her daughter in Germany 19 times, even taking part in the local English speaking plays on stage at Christmas time when she was in her 70ís. Margaret is survived by her two sons Alastair and Douglas, daughter Patricia, three grandchildren and a great grandson. The service at Pickmere Methodist Church, conducted by Rev Mike Dye was followed by committal at Altrincham Crematorium. In addition to a family floral tribute, donations were received for Pickmere Methodist Church and St Lukeís Hospice. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Greenacre Funeral Home, Northwich.
