The funeral was held on 1st September for the late Nancy Ault of Leftwich who died on 24th August aged 91 years. Nancy was born in Northwich to John Thomas and Emily Wyatt; one of a family of nine boys and two girls. Nancy was brought up in Northwich and attended Danebridge Church of England School. She married Stan Ault on 1st September 1945 at Davenham Parish Church, they settled in Shavington, Crewe, later they moved to Leftwich and she was widowed in 1984. During the war Nancy was on A.R.P. Warden duties and nursed at Weaver Hall. She also worked at Weaver Hall as head cook and then at Boots Chemist. Nancy liked knitting and reading, enjoyed listening to the radio and loved her family. She is survived by her son Rod, daughter-in-law Pat, grandchildren Andrew, Kerry and Garry and great grandson Callum. The service was held at St Wilfrid’s Parish Church, Davenham, conducted by Rev Martyn Cripps prior to committal at Altrincham Crematorium. In addition to family floral tributes, donations were received for Ward 5 at Leighton Hospital. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Greenacre Funeral Home, Northwich.
