Buckley, Reginald Brian (Reg)
The funeral was held on 5th October for the late Reginald Brian Buckley of Rudheath who died on 23rd September 2005 aged 71 years. Reginald, known as Reg, was born on 21st August 1934 to the late Albert and Elsie Buckley and was the youngest of their three children. He was born in Park Avenue, Wharton, Winsford, where he grew up and attended Wharton Church of England School. He married his wife Beryl Evans on March 21st 1959 at St Helenís Parish Church, Witton, Northwich, they were married for 46 years. After their marriage they settled in Winsford before moving to Rudheath where they remained for 43 years. Reg completed his National Service in the Royal Signals. He worked at Crewe Railway and had various jobs before joining I.C.I. as a process worker, from where he took early retirement in 1991. Reg was interested in football and in his youth played for Davenham Football Club, he also enjoyed gardening and played dominoes at Rudheath Club. Reg leaves his wife, three children, five grandchildren and a great grandchild. The service was held at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich and was followed by interment at Northwich Cemetery, conducted by Rev Paul Dawson. As well as floral tributes, donations were received for Coronary Care Ward 1 at Leighton Hospital. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Greenacre Funeral Home, Northwich.
