The funeral has taken place of Harry Taylor of Northwich, who died on 11th November 2005 aged 91 years. Harry was born in Marston, the second youngest of five children to the late Thomas and Emily Taylor. He was brought up in Marston where he attended Marston Church of England School. He met Hilda Taylor and they married on 10th June 1953 at Northwich Registry Office, then settled in Northwich. Harry was widowed in 1992. During the war Harry served with the East Lancashire Regiment and was stationed in Burma, Singapore and Egypt. Harry was a shiftworker at I.C.I. Winnington working in the Polythene Plant, then in the Light Ash Plant. Together with his late wife Hilda, Harry enjoyed dancing, especially modern sequence dancing. He also liked gardening and watching football on television. Harry is survived by his sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. The service at St Helenís Parish Church, Northwich was conducted by Canon Michael Walters, prior to interment at Northwich Cemetery.
