The funeral was held recently for the late Clifford Gaunt of Rudheath who died on 8th December 2005 aged 81 years. Clifford was born in Lostock to the late Harry and Dorothy Gaunt and he had two sisters who both predeceased him. Clifford was brought up in Lostock, where he attended school and later he moved to Winnington. He married his wife Amelia, known as Milly, on 4th September 1948 at St Helenís Parish Church, Witton. They settled in Danefield Road, Northwich then Queen Street before moving to Rudheath. During the war Clifford was in the Royal Signal Regiment and served in Burma. Later he was employed by I.C.I. as a process operator at Winnington until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, dancing and going on holiday. Clifford leaves his wife Amelia (Milly), son David, daughter Catherine and seven grandchildren. The funeral service was held at St Helenís Parish Church prior to interment at Northwich Cemetery, conducted by Rev Paul Dawson.
