The funeral was held on Tuesday 7th February for the late Ronnie King of Weaverham who died on 29th January 2006, aged 64 years. Ronnie was born in Goostrey to the late Bertha and George King, he had one older sister. He was brought up in Weaverham and attended Forest Street School. Ronnie married his wife Betty on 18th November 1961 at St Mary’s Parish Church, Weaverham. They settled in Wilbraham Road before moving to Walnut Avenue and finally to Northwich Road, where they remained. Ronnie worked as a H.G.V. driver, driving worldwide. He enjoyed crown green bowling and dominoes. He was a football fan, especially of Northwich Victoria Football Club. He is survived by his wife Betty, sons David & Paul, daughter Karen, daughter in law Andrea, son in law Andy and grandchildren Ben, Sammy, Amy & Scott. The funeral was held at St Mary’s Parish Church, Weaverham followed by interment at Gorstage Cemetery. The service was conducted by Mrs Philippa Appleby and Mr Brian Stevens. In addition to family floral tributes, donations were received for Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Hospital.
