The funeral was held on 23rd February for the late Brenda Palin of Moulton who died on 14th February 2006 aged 74 years. Brenda was born in School Lane, Moulton to the late Harry and Beatrice Goulding. She had two older brothers, Harry and Stanley, who both predeceased her. She was brought up in Moulton and attended Moulton C.P. School. Brenda married Thomas Arthur Palin on January 2nd 1954 at Moulton Methodist Chapel, and they made their home in Moulton. Brenda worked at Winsford Co-op until 1954. Later she was a school dinner lady until her retirement. Brenda enjoyed singing and won the Guardian Cup for her singing in 1949, she also sang in the Messiah. She loved music, her garden and her family; especially her grandchildren. She leaves her husband Arthur, daughter Gillian, son Geoffrey, daughter-in-law Heather and granddaughters Gabrielle and Natalie. The service was held at Moulton Methodist Church and was followed by interment at Rudheath Cemetery, conducted by Rev David Goodwin. As well as family floral tributes, donations were received for the Renal Unit at North Staffs Royal Infirmary.
