The funeral was held on 6th April for the late Charles Edward Pickering of Weaverham who died on 29th March 2006 aged 71 years. Charles was born in Northwich, to the late Frederick and Fanny Pickering, and he had nine brothers and two sisters, he was brought up in Castle. He married his wife Wanda in 1979 at Northwich Registry Office, they settled in Northwich before moving to Milton Keynes. Charles served in the Korean War. He was employed as a butcher at Barlow’s Butchers in Northwich. Charles was a keen photographer, he liked keeping fish and enjoyed using his computer. He is survived by three daughters, two sons, a step-daughter and six grandchildren, also three brothers and a sister. The service and committal were held at Walton Lea Crematorium, conducted by Mr Steve Grant. Floral tributes were received. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service, Northwich.
