The funeral was held on 11th May for the late Philip George Hocquard of Moulton who died on 2nd May 2006 aged 79 years. Philip was born in Liverpool to parents John and Charlotte Hocquard he had an older sister. He grew up in Liverpool attending school in Fazakerley. He met Peggy Mallon and they married on 1st April 1950 at Emmanuel Church Fazakerley where they settled. From 1944 -1948 Phil was in the Royal Engineers and was based in Fort George Scotland and Hamburg and Berlin in Germany. Later he joined the Merchant Navy was a motor mechanic and worked at I.C.I. at Winnington. Phil became a pub landlord and managed The Salter Weaverham Slow and Easy Lostock Gralam The Merlin Crewe and the Beehive in Northwich. His interests included playing golf gardening walking the dog and spending time with his family. Phil leaves his wife Peggy daughter Joyce and three granddaughters Katie Jenny & Becky. The service was held at St Wilfrid's Church Davenham conducted by Rev Martyn Cripps prior to interment in the churchyard. In addition to family floral tributes donations were received for the Children's Unit at Leighton Hospital. Arrangements by George Bell Funeral Service Northwich.
