Scott Martin

Scott passed away peacefully on 26th February 2023 after a brave 10 year battle with prostate cancer. Judith, Lucy and Adam were by his side. Those who knew him, loved him, shared their lives with him or simply crossed paths with him will remember a brilliant and unique man, with a huge heart, who felt that his purpose in life was to look after everyone around him and solve all the problems, all the time. His attention to detail, encyclopaedic ability to remember dates and his gift with all things numerical along with his exceptional mind were paramount in the success of his remarkable career as a chartered accountant, which manifested itself into multiple roles. Fiercely loyal, his love, kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Scott took great pleasure in family holidays, which were always meticulously well planned. His lifelong passion for cruising with Judith was one of the things which kept him going throughout his battle, along with his love of the Lake District. Scott was extremely proud and supportive of his son Adam and daughter Lucy and one of his greatest pleasures in his latter years was the time he spent with his precious grandchildren, Marko and Hedi. Scott was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many. A huge hole has been left in the hearts of all who knew him but the many, many good times he shared with his loved ones will always be remembered with love and admiration for a brilliant man.
